Construction Consulting Laboratory, (CCL) is an AAMA-approved independent testing laboratory for window and door testing. CCL can also perform full scale curtain wall testing on project specific mock-ups and storefront glazing systems along with a wide variety of exterior wall systems, assemblies, and components. CCL has been involved with testing for both Laboratory and Field services on high profile projects throughout the United States and overseas since 1974. We, at CCL are proud to present one of the largest and finest testing facilities in Texas!
Our facility can test full-scale curtain wall mock-ups in our standard chambers from 60 feet wide and 48 feet high, testing for air infiltration, static and dynamic water penetration, structural loading, seismic testing, and thermal movements. CCL has capabilities to construct chambers to accommodate larger mock-ups for project specific requirements.
Additional services have been expanded over the years to allow for testing of building enclosure components and claddings for approval to the HVHZ requirements of Dade County Florida and the Texas Department of Insurance Windstorm Code.
CCL specializes in testing fenestration assemblies for window and door manufacturers. CCL also performs building envelope testing such as field air and water, air barrier, roof uplift, blower door testing, and many other tests specific to building envelope design and installations. These field tests are generally required in the majority of project specifications generated by Architects. These tests are also requested by Real Estate Developers, Building Owners and Managers, General and Specialty Contractors, Attorneys, and Insurance Companies.
